AKI, a Kyrgyz news agency, reported that the former Interior Minister of Kyrgyzstan had been detained in Moscow on the 25th. He had returned to Kyrgyzstan's Manas airport by plane on the 26th.

Kyrgyzstan's interim government, First Deputy Prime Minister made a statement in a government meeting in the capital Bishkek. He said the former Interior Minister of Kyrgyzstan now was under police custody. And with the assistance of the Russian law enforcement agency, the former Interior Minister was successfully captured in Moscow.
Atambayev said: "We confirm that he is now detained in a prison in Kyrgyzstan." But the AFP said that Russia had not confirmed that news that he was arrested.
